At first glance, a cooking show might seem like an unlikely extension of an entrepreneurial and coaching career. But for Ashley Miers, Dancing in the Kitchen is the natural next step in a journey defined by creativity and healing.
From Music to Mental Health
Miers first made her mark in the music world with her album Aftershock, a project tied to raising awareness for Mental Health America. Yet her biggest contribution came years later, when she transformed her personal struggles with depression and self-doubt into a coaching practice. Through Ashley Miers Health, she began helping women build confidence, stability, and purpose.
The Show With a Mission
In 2023, she returned to her performance roots in a new format. Dancing in the Kitchen combines upbeat cooking segments with music and wellness insights, designed to “elevate your mood” as much as your culinary skills. The series has grown to over 20,000 YouTube subscribers and has aired on Roku’s Flamingo Network.
“We’re showing that food, music, and mindset are deeply connected,” Miers explains. “Our goal is to turn this into a household brand that sparks positivity in people’s lives.”
Balancing Growth and Grounding
While scaling a media venture, Miers maintains her own balance by prioritizing self-care and family. Delegating tasks, maintaining support systems, and integrating joy into daily life keep her focused and energized. “I dance, I laugh, and I surround myself with people who lift me up,” she says.
The Bigger Picture
Miers’ goals extend well beyond YouTube. She envisions merchandise lines, major streaming deals, and a platform that reshapes how media addresses mental health. At the same time, her mastermind UPLIFT is helping women pursue bold dreams across industries, from publishing to entrepreneurship.
For Miers, it all circles back to impact: “Media can perpetuate fear and division. We want to use ours to empower, uplift, and inspire.”
