Today we’d like to introduce you to Jill St.Williams.
It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?
I am Jill St. Williams, I’m the Owner of Pure Screening Solutions LLC, Jay-Jill Cosmetics Glamtique & Spa and Jay-Jill Cosmetics based in Gainesville, Fl. I’m married, A retired Corrections Officer of 16 years, Plus Model and Actress. I’ve had one speaking role and love doing background talent work. To fast-forward to current, I was raised by 2 Entrepreneurial parents my mom was in beauty and retired C/O and my dad owns a Janitorial business. Needless to say, I followed in my mother’s footsteps. Towards the end of Covid around 2020 I was working a 9-5 stressed out lol. I was attending Black Spa Expo in Atlanta hosted by Six Figure Spa Chick. I met Sheila Michelle Owner of Precise Screening who happened to teach Spa Professionals how to start a DOT Drug Testing Collection Site and the rest is history. Before I knew it, I was reopening the Jay-Jill Glamtique and Pure Screening Solutions LLC, all in one.
I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?
April 2023 will be 2 years for Pure Screening Solutions. To my surprise I haven’t had as many challenges like I’ve had with the Spa side of things. I don’t need to chase customers or truck drivers due to Partnerships I have established. Google has been my friend since day one. Although I could step it up a notch, I’m looking to get to the point of hiring staff.
Let’s talk about the work you do. What do you specialize in and why should someone work with you over the competition?
At Pure Screening Solutions I offer DOT/Non-DOT Drug Testing for Pre-Employment, Random Testing, Return To Duty. I offer a variety of Testing services: Rapid Drug Testing, On-Site Testing, Hair Follicle & Oral Swab Drug Testing. We are the only place in Gainesville who offer Finger Nail Drug Testing. I recently partnered with Nurse Practitioners to provide DOT Physicals and other spa related services.
Additional Services include: Background Checks, Back Office and Compliance Services for Owner Operators and Small to Medium Size Fleet Owners. I partnered with DNA Diagnostics we’re now offering Gender Reveal, DNA/Lifestyle Testing, Weightloss & Allergy Testing. I’m sure I’m leaving something out. Lol.
As for the competition, What competition?
What’s your best piece of advice for readers who desire to find success in their life?
Remain consistent, Finish what you start and trust the process. Entrepreneurship is not easy. Don’t compare yourself to others. Comparison is the thief of joy.
Speaking of success, what does the word mean to you?
Success is not returning to the corporate world after quitting lol. Success means going to my Villa in Cabo with my family when I want to and my business is still operating. Success is sleeping in late. Success is hiring a TEAM!
What’s next for you?
I don’t like to put too much of my plans in the universe there are dream killers and dream snatchers lurking but I know what’s for me is for me and my business. I plan to primarily focus on Pure Screening Solutions, My online Glamcademy “Helping more Estheticians, Cosmetologists, Barbers, Nurses, Makeup Artists and Enthusiasts” Launch their own Skin Care & Makeup Line. Helping my current Glam Beauty CEO Tribe reach their goals with their new product lines they recently launched. Shout out to (Debra Johnson -Sparkly Lips & Fingertips) (Carmen Johnson -Swanky Cosmetics) & (Ashley Dainea -ZMuse Cosmetics) to name a few. I’m focusing on establishing my Luxury Travel Club with my Boss Besties “Pure Luxury Travel” hosting more trips to my international Air bnb in Cabo San Lucas Mexico. I’m planting seeds in 2023 preparing for my harvest and removing any dead weeds hindering my growth.
