How Ryan Sahadeo Is Making Cybersecurity and AI Work for the Modern Entrepreneur

The line between innovation and chaos in today’s digital economy is razor-thin. That’s where Ryan Sahadeo thrives.

As the founder of Securoptix, Altivus.AI, A1 Designs, and Codepreneur Academy, Ryan is creating a blueprint for how cybersecurity and AI can serve—not slow down—modern businesses.

A Nonlinear Path with a Strategic Pivot

Originally pursuing a pharmacy degree at LIU Brooklyn, Ryan pivoted to health sciences with a minor in computer science. At the time, the shift seemed minor—looking back, it was monumental.

“It was in that receptionist role that I really began to understand leadership,” he says. “I saw how executive-level decisions were made—and how often tech risk was underestimated.”

His first job out of school? Receptionist at Montefiore Medical Center. There, he gained rare insight into healthcare operations and leadership thinking.

Then came the turning point: a series of national cyberattacks that revealed how many organizations treated security as an obligation rather than a strategic asset. That realization sparked Ryan’s shift into cybersecurity leadership at Newport Credentialing Solutions—and ultimately, his launch of Securoptix.

Launching Ventures with Real-World Impact

Ryan doesn’t just start companies—he solves problems he’s lived:

  • Securoptix challenges outdated compliance-first security models.

  • Altivus.AI translates AI hype into usable, intelligent workflows.

  • Codepreneur Academy helps professionals pivot into tech with practical, job-ready training.

  • A1 Digital helps companies implement powerful SaaS tools without frustrating users.

“Vision isn’t about predicting the future,” he explains. “It’s about recognizing patterns and solving problems early.”

Shark Tank, Setbacks, and Breakthroughs

Ryan once coached student entrepreneurs at LIU Brooklyn’s Business School in business competitions across NYC. That collaboration earned him a chance to audition for Shark Tank Season 3. He didn’t make it—but what came next changed everything.

“I met founders who had million-dollar ideas and zero cybersecurity knowledge,” Ryan recalls.

He began offering pro bono consultations, which built trust, attracted paying clients, and validated his growing brand.

“I realized my edge wasn’t just technical skill—it was being able to explain risk in a way CEOs could act on.”

Imposter Syndrome as Fuel

Without a conventional tech résumé, Ryan faced doubt—but used it as motivation.

“Imposter syndrome isn’t a weakness. It’s a compass,” he says. “It shows you care. I used it to sharpen my skills and stay humble.”

This mindset powered him to earn a Master’s in Cybersecurity Management, and now, he’s pursuing a PhD in Cybersecurity Leadership.

“All it takes is your first no to redirect you to your first yes.”

Productivity Systems That Scale

Running four companies means structure is non-negotiable. Ryan credits his flow to:

  • Pomodoro focus sprints

  • Workflow automation (Asana, n8n, BlitzIt)

  • Strategic energy management

“I automate anything that doesn’t need a human touch. That gives me space to think strategically.”

He avoids the hustle-for-hustle’s-sake trap:

“Recovery is part of the process. It’s how I stay sharp, not just busy.”

The Future of Work Is Secure, Smart, and Inclusive

Ryan’s PhD research explores how regulatory misalignment drives burnout in cybersecurity. His goal is to roll out new frameworks through Securoptix and Altivus.AI that directly address the issue.

Public speaking is next—he’s eyeing the TED stage, and developing new certification pathways via Codepreneur Academy in collaboration with top tech vendors.

“The mission is bigger than me,” he says. “It’s about building a world where security and innovation aren’t at odds—and where more people have access to meaningful careers in tech.”
