Francisco José Herrera is a professional rider and riding instructor. In his career in this sport, there have been many awards and recognitions that he has received for his impeccable performance.
Herrera is an Automotive Mechanical Engineer, graduated from the International University of Ecuador, however, his great passion is horse riding. From 2013 to 2015, he was a riding instructor and also a professional rider at the same university where he graduated. From 2015 to 2017 he was an instructor at the Rancho San Francisco Club and from 2017 to 2022 he worked as a professional riding instructor at the Quito Tennis and Golf Club.
His impeccable performance has earned him great awards and recognition. Among his national merits in his native country are: in 2018 he placed seventh in the Riders C Category; In 2019 he received 3 awards, the first was fifth place in the Riders B Category, then nineteenth place in the Preliminary Prix Category and also twenty-eighth place in the Riders B Category; In 2020 he obtained fifth place in the B Riders Category, fifth place in the B Riders Category Ranking and twenty-first place in the Preliminary Prix Category.
Part of his achievements are remembered, such as in 2017 he placed Twentieth in the Provincial Ranking in the Riders C category, with the horse Tambo Caminito. In 2018 he obtained a Gold Medal in the Official Provincial Championship of Dressage Teams, with Pambasinchi Lehia and a Bronze Medal in the Official Provincial Championship for Riders Category C, with the horse Chandon. In 2019 he achieved Eleventh place in the Provincial Ranking in Preliminary Prix, with horse Chandon. And thirteenth in the Provincial Ranking in B Riders, with Chandon horse. And in 2020 he placed third in the Provincial Ranking in Riders B, with horse Biscochuelo.
The professional rider has obtained relevant positions in his native country Ecuador. Now, this year, his participation has been notable and he has obtained good places in various events held in the state of Florida. Among them, we can mention: Majestic Oaks Ocala, Pop Cross Country Show Florida Horse Park (in April, May and June), Rocking Horse Spring and the WEC Ocala Summer III FEI CSI3, among many others.
