In a new edition of the prestigious international Anton award, which is held in honor of Mr. Jesús Antón Azocar, a great businessman, producer, promoter, visionary and who was the precursor of introducing Salsa in Venezuela, the exponent of Venezuelan Creole music Scarlett Linares, won an award.
Scarlett Linares proudly received the famous award as “International Llanero Folklore Singer of the Year”.
The ÀNTON awards, which under the same idea of rewarding career, also reward the annual achievements of workers in the artistic, musical and sports entertainment, and praise work in Radio, Film and Television. This event has been created to praise Latin American talent and that is how Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, the city of Miami and Venezuela have been incorporated into this initiative.
On this occasion, the singer of llanera music Scarlette Linares was awarded her diploma and recognition for her great artistic career both in her native country Venezuela and beyond its borders, taking her talent and culture to other countries in America and part of Europe. Scarlett Linares is undoubtedly a true ambassador of Venezuelan folklore.
